The Vibe: Light, fresh red fruit, bitter dark chocolate, morello cherries, complex.
Friends Would Say: You need a young bright wine with charm but not overly in your face! Ideally with layers you can slowly get to know throughout the night. This is about a discovery! You will find young cherries with a bright palette, fresh acidity, which finishes with a bitter dark cocoa and lasting dried roses.
The Banter: Valpolicella is one of the most famous wines from Veneto ( that’s Venice area ) made from local grapes Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. These 3 grapes are the classic blend to officially make Valpolicella. This Valpolicella has a classic nose of morello cherries with subtle notes of sweet red fruits on the palate combined with cinnamon and clove spices. Has some juicy tannins and fresh acidity. The fresh fruit flavours linger long on the palate. The is a wine for eating! goes super well over the table with tomato based dishes such as pasta ravioli or a casserole.
